As this semester has progressed, I have been given the opportunity to reflect on what attributes would be necessary for successful organizational change. Then this week I was given the opportunity to interview a person who holds a leadership position. This interview gave an opportunity to solidify some of the assumptions that were previously covered on what qualities are necessary to be an effective leader.

What I did take away from this interview is that today many leaders are starting to become aware of the leadership adjustments needed to keep up with changes to societal norms. It does also remind me of the importance of staying current on cultural trends and the need to be constantly reevaluating the effectiveness of the leadership techniques that are used. Overall, mindfulness will be a necessity to stay successful in today’s ever-changing world.
